one-of-one, by hand

Kicks that get painted,
not printed.

Custom, hand-painted sneakers for kids, adults, and brands — sketched, mixed, and built one pair at a time. Started for my own kids. Now yours too.

the story

It started at the kitchen table.

It started with a plain white pair and two kids who wanted something nobody else had. What began as a weekend project turned into commissions for friends, then friends of friends, then strangers who found the work online.

Every pair that leaves this shop still gets that same kitchen-table attention: sketched by hand, mixed by hand, painted by hand — no shortcuts, no printers, no two exactly alike. Creations by Dad is a side hustle with a full-time heart, built around family and growing one custom order at a time.

The name says it plainly: this started as something a dad made for his kids. It still is — it just fits a lot more people now.

FAQ

How does a custom order work? +

Submit the order request form with your idea, inspiration, and shoe size. From there, it's a back-and-forth — sketches, color checks, and revisions — until the design is locked in before any paint goes down.

What's the turnaround time? +

[Add your typical turnaround here — e.g. "2–4 weeks depending on detail level and current order queue."]

What do custom pairs cost? +

Pricing depends on the shoe, the amount of detail, and materials — every project is quoted individually. Starting pairs generally begin around [add your starting price], with a full quote provided after the design is discussed.

Do I send my own shoes, or do you provide them? +

[Add your policy — e.g. "Either works. Send in your own pair, or I can source blanks in your size for an added cost."]

Do you ship, and do you work with brands/businesses? +

Yes — pairs ship anywhere, and brand or business commissions are welcome. Reach out through the contact section with project details.

custom order request

Let's build your pair.

Tell me about the shoe you're picturing. The more detail, the better — colors, themes, references, who it's for.

  • I'll follow up by email to talk through the concept
  • We'll lock the design before any paint touches the shoe
  • Pricing is quoted per project once the details are set

This opens your email client to send the request directly — swap in a form service (like Formspree) later if you'd rather it submit without opening email.
